Barcelona have been handed a major boost before the conclusion of the October international break as Dani Olmo is reportedly set to return to training. The Spanish midfielder will be joining the group training on Thursday and is expected to play around 20 minutes against Sevilla, as per Diario AS journalist Javi Miguel (via @RishadFCB).

Dani Olmo joined Barcelona in the summer transfer window this year, signing a six-year long contract. In mid-September, he suffered a hamstring injury on his right leg and as per Barcelona, he was set to be out for four to five weeks.

However, as per the latest report, he is expected to get some game-time in Barcelona's upcoming game against Sevilla on Sunday, October 20.

Barcelona have two more important fixtures coming up after the Sevilla clash. They will first face Bayern Munich (October 23) in the UEFA Champions League before playing Real Madrid (October 26) in the legendary El Clasico. German manager Hansi Flick would be hoping to give some minutes to Dani Olmo in these two fixtures as well, considering his importance to his system.

Dani Olmo's sensational return to Barcelona

Dani Olmo was previously a part of Barcelona's famed La Masia academy. He left the Catalan club to join Dinamo Zagreb in 2014. Following a stint with their reserves side and senior team, Olmo went on to feature for RB Leipzig.

Reportedly, when he was a teenager, his agent Andy Bara convinced his parents to take him to Dinamo Zagreb (via Yahoo Sport). Bara had contacts at the Croatian outfit and was confident that Zagreb would be the best place for Olmo to flourish.

His stint at Dinamo Zagreb helped him get a deal at RB Leipzig. Slowly as he flourished, he garnered attention from the Catalan giants and rejoined the club ahead of the ongoing season. Notably, he appearaed thrice in the La Liga this term, scoring in all three fixtures.
