Barcelona dealt blow as superstar unlikely to feature in La Liga clash against Sevilla: Reports

Spanish forward Lamine Yamal is a doubt for Barcelona's La Liga clash against Sevilla on Sunday, October 20, as per SPORT. During Spain's 1-0 victory over Denmark on Saturday, the Barcelona forward was seen limping off the pitch in the final moments of the match.

The incident concerned among Barca fans as the 17-year-old has featured heavily for both club and country since his breakout in the previous campaign. A report from Mundo Deportivo had stated that Yamal has left the Spanish camp and will be traveling to Barcelona.

According to SPORT, Yamal has not suffered an injury but is suffering from muscle fatigue, which will ease the concerns of the Barcelona faithful. However, the Spaniard is expected to miss La Blaugrana's league clash against Sevilla on Sunday, October 20.

Hansi Flick's men will face Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday, October 23, and will hope that Yamal will be ready to feature in that encounter. After hosting Bayern, Hansi Flick's men will travel to the Spanish capital to play El Clasico on Saturday, October 26.

Barcelona are currently at the top of the La Liga table with 24 points from nine matches. Yamal has been in impressive form this season, bagging five goals and five assists in 11 appearances across competitions.

Barcelona and Real Madrid to battle for 18-year-old defender: Reports

Barcelona and Real Madrid will reportedly go head-to-head in the transfer market to sign 18-year-old Vitor Reis of Brazil, as per Spanish outlet AS. Real Madrid are in pursuit of finding a long-term partner for Eder Militao, as Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba are both in their 30s and the latter has struggled with recurring injury issues.

As per the aforementioned report, the Palmeiras centre-back has been dubbed as the next Ruben Dias for his leadership qualities and defensive skills. Dias currently plays for Manchester City, and he also captained the side during their last Premier League match against Fulham.

Vitor Reis has made 15 appearances for the senior team of Palmeiras, scoring two goals. His current contract with the Brazilian giants will end in the summer of 2028, and it also includes a release clause worth €100 million.

Apart from the La Liga giants, the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and other top European clubs are also interested in signing the 18-year-old Brazilian.
