Barcelona have received another injury blow as midfielder Dani Olmo has been forced off in their LaLiga clash against neighbors Girona on Sunday (September 15). The Spanish midfielder was hauled off in the second half minutes after scoring to put his side three goals ahead in the game.

Olmo joined the Spanish giants from RB Leipzig in the summer and had to wait a couple of weeks, until Matchday Three, to make his debut. The 26-year-old scored in each of his first two appearances for La Blaugrana, immediately proving that he was worth the club's €60 million investment.

Dani Olmo featured in only one of Spain's UEFA Nations League games, their 0-0 draw against Serbia, during the international break. He suffered a heavy hit from a defender in the game, which ruled him out of the second game against Switzerland. The midfielder appeared to be struggling with the same problem in the game at the Montilivi, prompting his substitution after 61 minutes, with Eric Garcia replacing him.

Olmo registered his third goal in as many games for the club before leaving the pitch. The former Leipzig man scored with an incredible effort, lashing in from a very tight angle to put his Barcelona side three goals up just two minutes into the second half.

Lamine Yamal was the star of the show for Hansi Flick's side, scoring two goals in the first half to take his tally to three in five appearances this season. With four assists also to his name, the 17-year-old Ballon d'Or nominee is en route to having another breathtaking season for the club.

Ferran Torres sees red for Barcelona in Girona clash

Spanish forward Ferran Torres came off the bench and received his marching orders for Barcelona in their clash against Girona. The former Manchester City man was sent off in the 86th minute for a dangerous challenge on Yaser Asprilla.

Hansi Flick sent Torres on in place of Robert Lewandowski in the 69th minute, shortly after Pedri put La Blaugrana four goals up. The forward had scored in his last appearance for Spain in the international break, and was looking to make a similar impact in the game.

Torres was shown a red card for trodding on the ankle of Colombian youngster Asprilla when challenging for a loose ball. Before his sending off, Girona managed to pull one back through forward Cristhian Stuani to make it 4-1 in front of their fans.
