Sergio Ramos has shared snaps on social media after reuniting with Real Madrid legend and former teammate Toni Kroos. The German, who retired from football after participating in Euro 2024, also gifted Ramos signed boots, as the duo exchanged national team shirts.

Toni Kroos announced the decision to hang up his boots while the previous season was still underway. The former Real Madrid midfielder ended his club career on a brilliant note, helping them win La Liga, the Champions League and the Supercopa de Espana.

His final game for Madrid was the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund. He was a crucial piece of the puzzle as Los Blancos won 2-0.

Sergio Ramos, on the other hand, has yet to retire from football. The 38-year-old is currently a free agent, following the season he spent at his boyhood club Sevilla. He notably played 37 games for the Spanish outfit in all competitions, scoring seven goals. However, he is currently a free agent without a club.

While he is waiting to see what his future might hold, Ramos got to spend time with Kroos. He posted the snaps below with the caption:

Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos decides not to extend his contract with Sevilla

After an impressive season, Sergio Ramos decided to say farewell to his boyhood club Sevilla. However, he has yet to decide on a future with another club, and he will spend the first half of the season as a free agent in Europe.

In his goodbye message, the legendary defender made it clear that his decision to leave the club was personal, despite Sevilla hoping he would stay for longer. He wrote (via beinSPORTS):

"The president even offered, as he mentioned earlier, a lifetime contract, and I appreciate that. So, I leave the same way I came, with a sincere hug for everyone. This decision is based on family and personal reasons."

He also added:

"The Sevilla fans made me feel at home from the first day I stepped onto the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan pitch. The fans forgave my mistakes and allowed me to live unique moments."

The former Real Madrid defender will hope he can find a club to play for, despite being 38 years old. He has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia.
