Arsenal have tabled a €20 million offer to sign Ferdi Kadioglu this summer, according to Nutuk. However, the proposal has been swiftly rejected, as Fenerbahce want €35 million to let him go.

The Gunners have had their eyes on the 24-year-old for a while and are apparently plotting a move this summer. Arteta has strengthened his backline by signing Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna this summer.

The Italian defender is equally adept at left-back and centre-back positions, making him a fine fit under Arteta. However, the north London side are also enticed by Kadioglu's versatility and want him at the Emirates.

The Turkish international can operate at left-back, right-back as well as on the wings. However, Arsenal are likely to balk at Fenerbahce's asking price for the 24-year-old. The Gunners also face competition from Borussia Dortmund for Kadioglu.

Marseille submit improved bid for Eddie Nketiah

Marseille have returned with an improved offer for Eddie Nketiah, according to acclaimed transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. The Arsenal striker has emerged as a target for the Ligue 1 side this summer.

Marseille have already strengthened their attack by roping in Mason Greenwood from Manchester United. However, new manager Roberto Di Zerbi reportedly has his eyes on Nketiah as well. The Englishman has struggled for game time with the Gunners recently, but his stock remains high.

Arteta no longer considers the Englishman as part of his plans and is ready to cash in on him this summer. The north London side have rejected two previous offers from Marseille for the 25-year-old.

However, the French giants have submitted a third bid for the Englishman. Nketiah is also ready to move to the Orange Velodrome this summer.

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes Ivan Toney would be a good addition to Arsenal's squad. The Englishman has entered the final year of his contract with Brentford and hasn't signed a new deal yet.

The Gunners are looking for a new striker this summer and have been linked with the 28-year-old before. While the Bees were previously looking for a premium to let Toney go, they are likely to be open to a cut-price deal now.

On The Overlap, Scholes said that Toney could guarantee 25 goals per season at the Emirates.

“It’s hard to say they’ve not got enough up there because of the amount of goals they scored. It was ridiculous, but I do think signing a centre forward would help,” said Scholes.

He continued:

“Signing an out and out number nine who will guarantee you 25 goals, obviously that would help. Are those players out there? Ivan Toney has been mentioned a lot, I think he scores 25 goals in that Arsenal team. I think he scores 25 goals in a lot of teams.”

The London giants were previously interested in Benjamin Sesko, who opted to stay at RB Leipzig this summer.
