Andriy Lunin's wife Anastasiia Tomazova has given her thoughts on rumors linking her husband with a move away from Real Madrid. There has been talk of the goalkeeper moving to Chelsea.

A report from AS claims that the Blues are interested in Lunin but are reluctant to meet his €30 million valuation. A swap deal that will see Kepa Arrizabalaga return to the Santiago Bernabeu is apparently being considered.

Los Blancos, the report adds, would want cash to be included in such a deal, and the two clubs remain in talks over that amount. During a Q&A session on her Instagram account, Tomazova was asked to give her verdict on the recent links surrounding Lunin.

"How do you react to rumors about Andriy Lunin’s transfer?", an Instagram user asked.
"It’s always fun to read where we’re going 😂", she responded.
"Do we like to live in Spain", another user asked.

Tomazova, who boasts over 186k followers on the social media platform, replied in the affirmative.

"Which country do we like the most, Italy or England?", another question read.

Lunin's wife chose Spain. Her responses seem to indicate that she would prefer to stay in the country amidst the transfer rumors. The Ukrainian goalkeeper moved to Spain in the summer of 2018 when Real Madrid signed him from Zorya Lugansk for €8.5 million.

Since then, the 25-year-old has had to make do with a role as a backup goalkeeper. He saw plenty of playing time last season after Thibaut Courtois' ACL injury, keeping 12 clean sheets in 31 matches across competitions despite competition from Kepa.

What Andriy Lunin has said about his Real Madrid contract situation

Andriy Lunin was recently asked to address his future at Real Madrid. His contract expires at the end of the 2024-25 season, and with Thibaut Courtois back from injury, Lunin seems destined to return to his role as the backup goalkeeper.

In an interview with MARCA (via Forbes) earlier this month, the Ukrainian star said:

"Let's see, let's see.... There is not much time left to find out. Obviously [I want to stay], but... Well, the only thing I can say is that everything went well with Madrid... And that it is now in the hands of Madrid. That's what I can say about my future."

On being pressed to elaborate on his answer, he added:

Well, I said what I wanted to say. Soon... Well, I don't know what's going to happen either. If I didn't want to be here I would have taken all my vacation, but I want to go back now and continue, because I'm in the best team in the world."

Lunin has 16 clean sheets in 48 appearances across competitions for the Madrid giants with nine titles to his name.
