Manchester United fans have reacted to Mason Greenwood completing a permanent move to Ligue 1 club Olympique de Marseille. The English forward's future with the Red Devils has been up in the year since he was first arrested on suspicion of raping and assaulting a female. He was later charged with suspicion of sexual assault and making death threats.

After all charges against him were dropped in February 2023, Greenwood was loaned out to Getafe by the Red Devils for the 2023–24 season. He registered 10 goals and six assists in 36 appearances across competitions for the La Liga outfit.

Fans took to social media and flooded with posts expressing their opinions on Mason Greenwood's departure from Old Trafford. While some fans bid farewell to the 22-year-old, some were relieved about the transfer.

Mason Greenwood Ligue 1 club Marseille on a five-year contract in a deal worth up to €31.6 million. He played 129 matches for Manchester United, scoring 35 goals and providing 12 assists.


Ligue 1 defender signs for Manchester United

Lille centre-back Leny Yoro officially signed for Manchester United on a five-year contract with the option of an additional year on Thursday, July 18. This marked the Red Devils' second signing ahead of the upcoming season, with the first one being Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna.

After signing for the Premier League giants, Leny Yoro opened up on why he accepted the offer to join the English club and said (via @FabrizioRomano on X):

"Since my first conversations with the club, they set out a clear plan for how I can develop as part of this exciting project, showing a lot of care for me and my family."
"It’s incredible honour to sign for club of Man Utd stature," added Yoro.

Leny Yoro helped Lille keep 17 clean sheets in 35 appearances across competitions last season.
