Legia Warsaw and Brondby lock horns in the UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round on Thursday

Legia Warsaw play host to Brondby in the second leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round clash on Thursday. Jesper Sorensen’s men suffered a narrow defeat in a five-goal thriller in the first leg and will be looking to turn the tie on its head at the Polish Army Stadium.

Legia Warsaw were left red-faced in the Polish Ekstraklasa on Sunday as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Puszcza after throwing away their lead twice in the game.

Before that, Gonçalo Feio’s side picked up a thrilling 3-2 win over Brondby in the first leg of the Conference League third qualifying round in Denmark, with Ryoya Morishita netting an 86th-minute winner.

After two games on the road, Legia Warsaw return home, where they are unbeaten in seven of their last nine competitive games, claiming four wins and three draws since the start of March.

Brondby, on the other hand, failed to bounce back from their first-leg defeat last weekend as they fell to a 1-0 loss against AGF in the Danish Superliga.

With that result, Sorensen’s men have suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time since May, when they were beaten by Midtjylland and Copenhagen respectively.

However, Brondby head into Thursday’s clash unbeaten in their last four games on their travels and will be looking to make a remarkable comeback.

Legia Warsaw vs Brondby Head-To-Head and Key Numbers

  • This will be the fourth meeting between Legia Warsaw and Brondby, with Feio’s men claiming one win and two draws in their previous three encounters.
  • Legia Warsaw are unbeaten in nine of their last 10 games across all competitions, picking up seven wins and two draws since the start of July.
  • Brondby are unbeaten in their last four away matches across all competitions, claiming two wins and two draws since May’s 3-2 loss at Midtjylland.
  • Legia Warsaw have won all but one of their last four competitive home games, with a 2-1 loss against Piast on August 4 being the exception.

Legia Warsaw vs Brondby Prediction

Legia Warsaw did well to secure the win in last week’s reverse leg and will head into Thursday’s second leg with confidence. Brondby have lost their last two games away from home and we predict Feio’s men will do just enough to secure the win at the Polish Army Stadium.

Prediction: Legia Warsaw 2-1 Brondby
