Former Real Madrid defender Vinicius Tobias got his baby's name tattooed on his body, only to later realize that he wasn't the biological father via a DNA test. The Brazilian currently plays for the Ukrainian outfit Shakhtar Donetsk after a two-year loan spell in Real Madrid.

Vinicius Tobias, 20, joined Shakhtar Donetsk in January 2022 from Internacional. Four months later, he was loaned out to Real Madrid, where he played for their second-division side Real Madrid Castilla until June 2024. He is a highly skilled right-back, comparable to the likes of Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Tobias made 61 appearances for the second-division side, registering eight assists. He also made one appearance for the senior side in the Copa del Rey round three clash against Arandina on January 7, 2024. Los Blancos won the game 3-1.

Earlier this month, Tobias and his ex-wife Ingrid Lima welcomed their daughter Maite. According to a report by The Sun, Tobias celebrated the birth of his daughter by getting a tattoo with the words 'Maite, I love you.' He also shared it in a now-deleted Instagram post on October 8.

Shortly after, Ingrid Lima revealed that Tobias was not Maite's biological father. In an Instagram story, she explained her on-and-off relationship with the former Real Madrid player, writing:

“I came to give a statement about something that is getting annoying and that, unfortunately, I would have to come out on publicly to give you an explanation. Vinicius and I haven't been together for a while. During that time, I was in a relationship with someone and so was he.”

She continued:

“We both moved on with our lives. In the meantime, Maite came along. We decided to do a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius' daughter.”

Tobias hasn't responded to his ex-wife's statement as of writing.

Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold has emerged as one of the prime targets for Carlo Ancelotti's outfit next season. The 26-year-old has been one of the mainstays in the Liverpool backline since being promoted to the senior side in 2016.

The Englishman has played 319 games for The Reds across competitions, scoring 19 goals and registering 83 assists. The Englishman's potent ability to come forward and feed inch-perfect through balls into the penalty box has been one of his major fortes over the years.

However, his contract with his boyhood club will expire at the end of the 2024-25 season and a recent report from The Athletic suggests that Real Madrid's top priority next season is to bring Alexander-Arnold to Santiago Bernabeu. According to journalist Jose Felix Diaz (via @MadridXtra), the two clubs could start negotiations for the player in January 2025.

After a season-ending injury to Dani Carvajal and with both him and Lucas Vazquez nearing the sunset of their careers, Los Blancos will need a new world-class right-back in the upcoming years.
