Feyenoord v AS Roma: Knockout Round Play-offs First Leg - UEFA Europa League 2023/24

Feyenoord will face Genk at De Kuip on Saturday in a pre-season friendly between the two teams. The home side enjoyed a largely solid campaign last season, finishing runners-up in the Eredivisie and winning the KNVB Beker for the first time since 2018.

De Stadionclub have undergone a managerial change over the summer, with Brian Prsike coming in as the new boss following the departure of Arne Slot to Liverpool. Feyenoord began life under the Dane last weekend, thrashing Dordrecht 4-0 in their pre-season opener and will be looking to build on that this Saturday.

Genk, meanwhile, endured an overall disappointing Jupiler Pro League campaign last season, ultimately missing out on European football as a result. Thorsten Fink has now been appointed as the new boss and will be looking to improve performances significantly in the coming campaign.

The Belgian side were in action on Wednesday, facing PAOK in their third friendly outing of the pre-season campaign. They beat the Greek outfit 3-1, with Noah Adedeji-Sternberg and Jarne Steuckers netting in the first half before Andi Zeriqi joined the duo on the scoresheet in the second.

Following Saturday's game, Feyenoord will lock horns with Cercle Brugge as they continue their Belgian theme while Genk will return home to face Go Ahead Eagles.
