Arsenal fans have taken to social media to protest the team playing two of their stars together. The players in question, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling, looked off-color for the 60 minutes they had on the pitch in the Gunners' 3-1 home win over Southampton in the English Premier League.

Following the final whistle, fans of the north London side took to social media platform X to lament the poor display from the duo, with one post reading:

"Jesus and Sterling should NEVER be on the pitch at the same time"

Another post on the platform said:

"jesus and sterling cannot play together. even one of them is enough evil. i don't know why they are being played together."

Another critical post on X said:

"I never want to see that Gabriel Jesus/Sterling experiment again."

An Arsenal fan lamented the ineffectiveness of the duo, posting:

"Sterling and Jesus need a conversation with Martinelli about coming back up to the standard because both are miles and miles away. Whole game changed when they were replaced."

One more fan made a pointed statement in their post, writing:

"Gabriel Jesus has no business playing for Arsenal, Sterling has no business in the starting XI"

Another post declared the combination 'atrocious', saying:

"This Raheem Sterling is abominable. The combination of Sterling & Gabriel Jesus is atrocious. What the hell man?!"

A fan hilariously posted :

The final post in our selection declared:

"There’s absolutely no reason Jesus or Sterling should start a Premier League match for Arsenal at this moment. Absolutely no reason. And no, I have NEVER, EVER been among the “rotate the team” nonsense! Always play your best team!"

The duo were far from effective in the game for Arsenal, taking five shots but not testing Aaron Ramsdale with any. The Gunners secured a 3-1 win with two goals coming after the two stars taken off after an hour on the pitch.

Bukayo Saka runs the show to lead Arsenal to victory over Southampton

Arsenal secured a 3-1 victory over Southampton at the Emirates Stadium to remain one point behind table toppers Liverpool in the Premier League. England superstar Bukayo Saka was a delight to watch and had a hand in every goal for the hosts, bagging one goal and two assists.

The title hopefuls dominated the first half but failed to open the scoring before the break. In the second half, the Gunners went behind after Caermon Archer gave the Saints the lead in the 55th minute.

Bukayo Saka set up Kai Havertz in the 58th minute to restore parity, before finding Gabriel Martinelli with an inch-perfect cross in the 68th minute to give the hosts the lead. Saka turned from provider to goal scorer in the 88th minute after he latched onto a loose ball from Yukinari Sugawara to complete the scoring and secure a 3-1 result.
