Fans have taken to social media to hail England full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold for his impressive performance in England's 3-1 win over Finland. The two sides clashed in the Nations League group stage at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium on October 13, where Alexander-Arnold shone at left-back.

Notably, the Liverpool vice-captain has spent the vast majority of his career playing as a right-back. More recently, he has shown versatility by playing in midfield for both club and country. However, he played at left-back in the win over Finland, and impressed, winning three duels and playing ten passes into the final third.

The cherry on top of his performance was the wonderful freekick he scored from from range, smashing it into the top-left corner. His brilliance could not be ignored by fans, who praised him online with posts like these:

"Τrent Alexander Arnold yet again the best player on the pitch for England. It's mental that it took him that long to cement his place in the team," a fan said.
"Trent Alexander-Arnold = GENERATIONAL TALENT (Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise)," another fan added.
"Thoughts on the England game… Henderson just isn’t a patch on Pickford. Trent Alexander-Arnold is the boy, play him right back or you will waste him. We need to find a top class sitting midfielder to allow Rice to play his natural game, as he’s top class at it." a third noted.
"He’s currently the best RB in the prem,no arguments,Trent Alexander Arnold is HIM😮‍💨" this fan was convinced.
"Trent Alexander-Arnold best Rightback in the world always dropping a 5-star performance," another claimed.
"Call your CAM, RB and LB to come outside! TAA is HIM!!!!👑🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥" a fan was happy.

England boss Lee Carsley reacts to 3-1 win over Finland

England head coach Lee Carsley has reacted to how the Three Lions performed in their 3-1 win over Finland. Speaking to the press after the game, he said (via The Standard):

“I thought we were looking for a reaction. This is only four games into it, and I’ve still not properly worked out how this team responds to setbacks. They’ve shown they’ve responded really well. We played with a lot more control. We created a lot of chances, but I think we can still be better.”

England started well, with Jack Grealish scoring the first goal in the 18th minute. It would take until the 74th minute for Trent Alexander-Arnold's curler to find the net from range. In the 84th minute, Declan Rice sealed the win with their third goal.

However, with 87 minutes on the clock, Finland scored a consolation goal through Arttu Hoskonen, who was the most alert during a corner routine. There wasn't much else the hosts could do after this, though, as the Three Lions coasted to the win.
