Benin and Rwanda will battle for three points in a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Friday. Benin will be hoping to build on the 2-1 comeback win they registered over Libya in the last international window last month.

They went behind to Faisal Al Badri's ninth-minute penalty. Steve Mounie drew the game level five minutes into the second half while Junior Olaitan scored the match-winner from the spot in the 62nd minute.

Rwanda, meanwhile, picked up a memorable point in a goalless draw at home to Nigeria.

The stalemate left the Wasps in third spot in Group D with two points from two games. Benin are second on three points.

Benin vs Rwanda Prediction

Both of these nations were also drawn in the same group for World Cup qualification and will face one another again next year. Four of Benin's last six games have produced three goals or more.

This is in contrast with Rwanda, whose games have tended to be cagey and tight affairs. Just two spots are up for grabs for qualification in this group and with continental superpowers Nigeria already leading the way, one of these two sides could follow the Super Eagles to Morocco.

Hence, the result in this game could be crucial to the final standings. The game is being played in Ivory Coast, which does not confer home advantage on Benin. However, they should still do enough to eke out a narrow win and clean sheet.

Prediction: Benin 1-0 Rwanda
