Barcelona were the much better side in their 5-1 La Liga win over Sevilla at Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys on October 20. They enjoyed a comprehensive first-half performance, scoring three goals to seal the three points within the first 45 minutes.

The second half was one of consolidation, as they scored another two goals, but Sevilla managed to get a consolation effort through Stanis Idumbo Muzambo. The winger took advantage of Barcelona's high line to run onto a perfect ball over the top, slotting it beyond goalkeeper Inaki Pena.

However, the game was already won for the Blaugrana. Goals from Robert Lewandowski and Pedri gave them a clear lead in the first half, while a second-half brace from Pablo Torre completed the rout in fine style.

Here are Barcelona's player ratings:

Inaki Pena - 6/10

Pena did not make a single save in the game. He allowed the one chance on target from Muzambo to get past him. However, he recycled possession brilliantly, keeping 95% of his passes accurate.

Jules Kounde - 6/10

He had a hand in the second goal, feinting a pass from Lamine Yamal to leave the ball for Pedri. He also provided the chance for Pablo Torre to score goal number four with a deflected pass.

Pau Cubarsi - 7/10

The 17-year-old was confident in defense, notably making an important clearance that started a counter. He made regular challenges to stop Sevilla counters, winning seven duels.

Inigo Martinez - 6/10

The 33-year-old won a brilliant tackle early in the second half to keep Sevilla struggling. Aside from making four defensive actions and winning four duels, he made 21 passes into the final third, helping to determine the tempo of the game.

Alejandro Balde - 5/10

He was often caught upfield during counters early in the game, as Sevilla looked to take opportunities down his flank. Despite some good dribbling, his crossing was rather poor, as he struggled to find his target every time he sent the ball into the area.

Pedri - 8/10

The 21-year-old showcased his quality as a midfield maestro for Barcelona. He created three chances, while also scoring his brilliant effort from distance. He made 14 passes into the final third, while also making seven recoveries. One of the recoveries he made notably led to his goal in the 28th minute.

Marc Casado - 6/10

Casado fought to regain possession constantly, working hard to keep the ball from getting past him. He won five duels in midfield but lost six. However, he made two interceptions and four recoveries.

Raphinha - 7/10

He had to play in the number 10 role, but the Barcelona winger took the role in stride, winning a penalty and picking up an assist for the third goal. His performance deserved a goal, but his effort that found the net in the 49th minute was determined to be offside.

Lamine Yamal - 7/10

The young teenager showed his defensive side by pressing well early on. His attacking edge was important for Barcelona, as he caused serious problems for Sevilla's defense with his running and dribbling on the right. He created the assist for Pedri's goal and perhaps deserved a goal to crown his performance.

Ansu Fati - 5/10

Fati struggled to keep up with the tempo of the game. He missed a big chance, was unable to dribble past his marker, and was dispossessed once. He hardly did much else aside from the yellow card he picked up for a late challenge.

Robert Lewandowski - 8/10

He opened the scoring with an accurate penalty in the 24th minute before adding the third goal of the game in the 39th minute. His defensive contribution is also worth noting as he made an important clearance on the cusp of half-time. The striker was also instrumental in Pedri's goal as he provided the pass for Yamal, who gave the assist.

Substitutes

Pau Victor - 5/10

He had a big chance to add his name to the scoresheet, but he missed. Aside from winning two duels, he did not do much else in the 24 minutes he spent on the pitch.

Fermin Lopez - 5/10

His passes were mostly accurate, with 15 out of 16 meeting their target. However, like Victor, there was little else he did of note in 24 minutes.

Pablo Torre - 8/10

Easily the best substitute appearance for Barcelona on the day, Pablo Torre came on for just 14 minutes and scored two impressive goals. His first was a deflected shot in the area (82'), while the second was a direct free-kick from deep that missed everyone and found the corner (88').

Gerard Martin - 5/10

He spent 14 minutes making just three accurate passes out of six. However, he also won three duels to help Barcelona keep Sevilla at bay.

Gavi - 6/10

He came on for Pedri in the final seven minutes of the game after spending a year on the sidelines. The 20-year-old looked lively as he took the armband from Pedri and made eight passes.
