Bahrain host Indonesia at the Bahrain National Stadium in Riffa on Thursday for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The sides have been drawn in Group C in the third round of qualifying.

With three points in two games, the Pearl Divers are in third position in the standings right now. They beat Australia 1-0 on the road in their opener, courtesy of an 89th-minute own goal by Harry Souttar, but were crushed 5-0 by Japan in the next match.

Ranked 76th in the world, Bahrain are looking to make their World Cup debut in 2026, and have called up 27 players for this month's double-header against Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

Skipper and experienced midfielder Kamil Al-Aswad is available once more and will be looking to add to his 106 caps for Bahrain. Manama forward Mahdi Abduljabbar is looking to become one of the few players to hit double figures in terms of goals in the nation's history, as he's currently on nine.

On the other hand, Indonesia have drawn both their qualifier games so far in the campaign. They were pegged back to a 1-1 draw by Saudi Arabia on matchday one, before holding Australia to a 0-0 stalemate in their next.

Bahrain vs Indonesia Prediction

The Pearl Divers were on a good run before the Japan humbling, but remain a menacing side on their day. Their rivals have been a tough nut to crack for their opponents in the qualifying campaign, but their lack of bite in attack means the home side have a greater chance of winning.

Prediction: Bahrain 2-0 Indonesia
