Red Bull boss Christian Horner has hit out at his McLaren counterpart Zak Brown after the latter warned of massive consequences if Red Bull were found to have violated the F1 rules for adjusting car set-up. Citing this, Horner termed Brown's action as a "bit of moaning."

While the verbal back and forth between the two team principals is not something new, the recent situation regarding the front bib device escalated things to a very different level. It was reported that the Austrian team was using a device that they could use to control the ride height of their car during qualifying and race.

However, after a thorough discussion with the FIA, the Austrian team decided to strip off the mechanism. But Brown was not in the mood to let it pass easily. As a result, he hit out at his Red Bull counterpart.

Interestingly, Horner did not take the jab quietly as he hit back at Zak Brown. Here's what he said according to Sky Sports F1,

"There’s a bit of moaning from one of our rivals, it’s their job to look into it. It’s been publicly available for the last three years (the information) just trying to satisfy perhaps some paranoia. I feel sometimes it’s to distract from perhaps, what’s going on in your own house.”

Christian Horner and Zak Brown are in direct contention for the titles this season. While McLaren looks set to secure the Constructors' Championship, Max Verstappen's brilliance might help him to snatch the Drivers' Championship.

Red Bull appeared to be the only team that carried out a trick to cleverly increase or decrease the ride height of their car that suited their car during qualifying and race. While this did not come out all these years until very recently, the FIA, following a discussion with the said team, asked them to neutralize it.

However, according to McLaren's Zak Brown, there were still questions that needed answers. Here is what he told Sky Sports about this:

"What doesn't quite stack up is the comment that you can't modify it. If it's not accessible post or during parc ferme, then why put a seal on it? I think it needs to be a very thorough investigation because if you touch your car from a performance standpoint after parc ferme or in parc ferme, that is a black and white material, substantial breach which comes with massive consequences."

The FIA did not penalize the Milton-Keyned-based outfit over their adjustable bib parc ferme trick. Max Verstappen claimed the pole for Saturday's Sprint race, while Lando Norris qualified in P4.
