F1 fans reacted to Michael Schumacher's nephew and Ralf Schumacher's son, David Schumacher's now-deleted Instagram story about ongoing family troubles that went public. He talked about traumatizing events that took place with his mentally ill mother during his childhood that scarred him for life.

David's mother, Cora Schumacher, recently claimed that his husband Ralf "used" and "robbed" her during the early days of their marriage. These claims were made after Ralf came out as gay, revealing his same-sex relationship in July. His son, David, was also dragged into the chaos, after which the young racing driver decided to open up about the situation.

In a now-deleted Instagram post, he claimed that his mother had mental issues from the beginning and shared horrific stories that took place during his formative years. The Instagram story, originally in German, was circulated throughout the internet.

"Unfortunately, my mother has, since I can remember - mental problems; as you can follow in her own social and other media, with ups and downs: When I was four or five years old, she wanted to drive the car against a tree with me - me in the passenger seat - and finish everything," David Schumacher wrote.

Many F1 fans sympathized with Michael Schumacher's nephew and were shocked to hear how bad his childhood days were with her mother.

"Idk what to even say. That is just a sad, sad situation all the way around," a fan wrote.
"Poor David seems like such a lovely kid who's been held hostage by his mother's erratic mental health and power struggles his whole life," another sympathatically added.
"Omg," another fan expressed.
"Holy s**t I've just been seeing what David Schumacher has been going through with his mother.. that's horrendous," another mentioned.

Michael Schumacher's nephew's mother leaves social media after receiving death threats amid public family feud

David Schumacher's mother, Cora Schumacher, decided to leave social media platforms for a while after her son's Instagram stories resulted in death threats towards her.

Cora recently posted on her official Instagram account's stories, explaining that several hate messages, including death threats, started pouring in after Michael Schumacher's nephew posted about his life with her. She concluded by saying that she had closed the commenting feature on all her posts and that the attacks and abuses were becoming 'unbearable'.

"Because of the hate messages that increased after my son's statement, including death threats and calls for suicide, I'm withdrawing from social networks for the time being and have closed the comment function. These attacks are unbearable," Cora wrote.

After David Schumacher shared about his mother, the latter sent a lawyer's letter to her son, after which the youngster might have had to delete the stories from his Instagram account.
