F1 fans were left reeling after it was revealed that 'Huak Tuah' fame Hailey Welch signed a deal with Sauber F1's title sponsor Kick. Welch became a sensation on social media after her comments on the vox pop YouTube channel, Tim & Dee TV, in June 2024.

Her comments were picked on social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok and were shared as viral memes across the globe. Using her newfound fame, Welch launched her own podcast named 'Talk Tuah,' which is currently one of the most famous in its segment.

On her social media platform, X, Hailey Welch announced that she would be partnering with the video streamline platform Kick for her Meet and Greet with her fans at the Dreamhack event in Atlanta on October 5. She wrote:

"Come kick it y'all"

F1 fans took to social media to give their reactions to Welch signing with Sauber's title sponsor Kick, with one fan hilariously claiming that she would be driving for the team next year as well, saying:

"So she'll be driving alongside Hülkenberg then, right?"
"New f1 driver announced."
"@stakef1team is gonna have Hawk Tuah girl." said a fan.
"ngl didn't see this coming @stakef1team," wrote another.
"Hawk Tuah can get a seat but Danny Ric and Mick Schumacher are out, F1 in the mud," claimed another.

Red Bull advisor assesses Mick Schumacher's chances of landing a seat at Sauber F1

Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko stated that if Mick Schumacher failed to get a seat at the Kick-Sauber F1 next year, his chances of returning to the pinnacle of motorsport would be over.

Speaking with Sport.de, the Austrian said:

"I think the Formula 1 story is really over for Schumacher if he doesn’t get that Audi seat. Then he had to concentrate on the long-distance races in the WEC, where he was already very successful. If he wants to stay in motorsport, he has to find something that he likes, but where he also has a chance to win.”

The former Haas F1 driver was optimistic about his chances of landing a seat at Sauber F1, as he told Autosport:

“Whatever happens for the future will be decided at some point still this year, hopefully. As soon as I know what I will be doing, I will for sure put a press release out there and let you all know. But definitely, the hope is for Formula 1, because that is what I dreamt of since I was a little boy, but it definitely feels great to be in WEC.”

Mick Schumacher raced in the sport for two seasons in 2021 and 2022 with the Haas and was dropped in favor of Nico Hulkenberg for 2023. He is one of several drivers who are in contention for a seat on the Kick Sauber F1 team next year.
