Former seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher is arguably one of the greatest drivers in the history of F1. The German driver's legend still lives on despite him retiring at the end of the 2012 season following a three-year stint with the Mercedes F1 team after making a comeback to the sport in 2010.

However, the 55-year-old has not been seen in public in almost 11 years, since suffering from a head injury, during a family holiday in the Alps in 2013. The former Ferrari driver's family decided to keep the news related to him out of the public eye to maintain his wish to keep his private life away from the limelight.

Apart from his inner circle, people outside have not gotten any updates regarding his progress from his skiing accident. Michael Schumacher's inner circle includes his wife, Corinna, his kids- Gina-Marie and Mick, his former manager Sabine Kehm, and former FIA President Jean Todt.

It was recently reported that Mick Schumacher's girlfriend was also included in the inner circle after she was introduced to Michael Schumacher. As per GP Blog, Schumacher's former Ferrari teammate Felipe Massa and Italian Luca Bodear were also part of the exclusive circle.

The Brazilian and the F1 legend were teammates in 2006 at the Scuderia, which was also the final year of Michael Schumacher's association with the brand and Massa's first. The 43-year-old had previously spoken about the seven-time world champions' condition after his visit on Brazilian podcast Fala Galvao:

"I saw him. But I think we always have to respect Corinna's decision. Schumacher was like that, always very reserved with his family. Even when he was still racing, his children only entered the racetrack when the race started, so as not to have the press on them. I think if there was something [positive/ a solution], we would have known by now."

Speaking to Polish site Swiat Wyscigow, Felipe Massa considered himself "lucky" to race alongside Schumacher and said (via Express):

“It was great. I mean, it was a great experience. It was a great time to be able to be teammates with Michael Schumacher. I learned a lot from him. He was an amazing driver. The way he was working… We were very close as well. In the end I was lucky to be part of that experience.”

Michael Schumacher made his first public appearance in 11 years, as per reports

Former Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher reportedly made his first public appearance in 11 years at the wedding ceremony of his daughter, Gina Marie, on September 29.

The 27-year-old Gina-Marie got married to her longtime partner in an intimate ceremony and shared the pictures of the event on her social media.

As per rumors, the people attending the ceremony were instructed to leave their devices at the door as the family wanted to keep Schumacher's first public appearance in 11 years a secret. Although these reports have not been confirmed by the German's family as of yet.
