Oliver Bearman recently shared his take on Lewis Hamilton's recent win at Silverstone. The Ferrari prodigy revealed that Hamilton's victory at his home Grand Prix was an inspirational event for him.

For the first time in 945 days, Lewis Hamilton stepped on the top spot of the podium after he claimed the 2024 British Grand Prix win at the Silverstone Circuit, ahead of Max Verstappen and Lando Norris.

Following his victory, Hamilton became the sixth driver to win a race in 2024, unlike the 2022 and 2023 seasons where Verstappen reigned supreme. Speaking about the magical race win, Bearman said in the "High Performance" Podcast (via X),

"It was a really emotional moment, because you could see how much it meant to him, and everything that Lewis has been through over the years, it must have been so difficult and he must have been going through a lot on the mental side. I can't even begin to imagine how difficult it must have been at times, and that also gives me a lot of inspiration."

In a nutshell, the emotional race win provided Hamilton a much-needed impetus for the season, and Oliver Bearman an inspiration, ahead of his F1 exposure next year.

Lewis Hamilton is all set to leave Mercedes at the end of this season and move to Ferrari. The British driver signed a multi-year contract earlier this season, that will see him at the Maranello-based team till the end of 2026.

On the other hand, the Ferrari prodigy, Bearman, signed for Ferrari's customer team, Haas on a multi-year deal as well. However, it is unlikely that Bearman will get to race alongside his compatriot, Hamilton, on the Italian team.

The British GP win was Lewis Hamilton's last race at Silverstone in Mercedes overalls. He has been racing for the Silver Arrows at this circuit since 2013, and now, after 12 long years, he decided to bid adieu to the team that helped him win six championships.

"I can’t stop crying! It’s been since 2021, every day getting up, trying to fight, to train, to put my mind to the task and work as hard as I can with this amazing team," Hamilton said after the race.
"This is my last race here at the British Grand Prix with this team, so I wanted to win this so much for them, because I love them. I appreciate them so much, all the hard work they’ve been putting in all over these years," he added.

Hamilton is set to join Charles Leclerc in Ferrari and drive under the guidance of Fred Vasseur in 2025.
