Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles has revealed that she wants to attend a Formula 1 Grand Prix, extending her support for Lewis Hamilton. She said that she has been in contact with him and plans to go and watch "one of his races."

Biles, who has won three gold medals so far at the 2024 Paris Olympics, was asked on her Instagram Live if she watches Formula 1. She replied that while she does not follow the sport, she plans to go to a race. Further, the 27-year-old revealed that she has been in contact with Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton, and wants to attend a race.

"I actually do not," she said when asked if she watches F1. "Lewis is great and I want to go out to one of his races. So I've been talking to him about that. I really wanted to go to the one in Austin, but unfortunately, I'm on tour, but I do wish I could go to one of his races."

Simone Biles added that she plans to make a trip to watch a race, and has also asked Hamilton for his schedule.

"Told him to send me his schedule so we could see the next one. I mean obviously they're all around the world so we're gonna have to make a trip," she concluded.

Lewis Hamilton has gained a major fanbase over the years racing in Formula 1. While he has been racing with Mercedes for a very long time, he will be moving to Ferrari in the 2025 F1 season.

The Italian outfit is in hopeful mood ahead of Hamilton's arrival. Team principal Frederic Vasseur recently stated that the seven-time F1 World Champion will be a positive addition to the team.

Hamilton will replace Carlos Sainz at Ferrari next season. The latter will head to Williams Racing. This is the first time since the 2021 season that the team will experience a change in the driver lineup.

Team principal Frederic Vasseur is seemingly not worried about the decision. He stated that he is aware of the "positive aspects" of having Lewis Hamilton in the team.

"We certainly know the positive aspects of Lewis' arrival, such as his great experience," he told Sky Italia. "Everyone since the beginning of the season has said that Russell is faster than him, but at the moment he is the one who has brought more points to Mercedes. So in terms of efficiency, I think he is a good point of reference."

Ferrari is currently sitting in third place in the Constructors' championship and continues to battle within the top 5. Although they had the second-fastest car on the grid earlier in the season, their competitors have developed at a better pace.
