Bruno Famin's Alpine had a catastrophic debut at this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. Both Alpine hyper-cars suffered technical issues, which handed them a mega failure, following which fans called Famin out and linked him with Esteban Ocon.

Alpine's first year in the hypercar category turned out to be cataclysmic as both #35 and #36 cars faced a suspected engine issue. It was barely five hours on the clock when the French team lost their first car.

Ferdinand Habsburg was running 16th at the time when he pulled over his #35 Alpine at Arnage. Along with Habsburg, Paul-Loup Chatin, and Charles Milesi's chances in the race were gone as well.

Within an hour of the first retirement, Nicholas Lapierre brought the #36 car into the garage, the same car shared by former F1 drivers Mick Schumacher and Matthieu Vaxiviere. It meant Alpine's first year in endurance racing bore no fruit.

Interestingly, fans connected Famin's team's Hyper-car disaster with that of Alpine's 2024 Monaco GP debacle. It was the race when Famin threatened Esteban Ocon with consequences after the French driver made contact with his teammate Pierre Gasly at the Principality.

In response to a video of the Vice President of Alpine speaking in an interview, a fan asked if he would blame Esteban Ocon for their Le Mans disaster:

"Has he blamed Ocon yet?" asked the fan.
"5 place grid start penalty for OCON in Spain next week," wrote another fan, connecting the F1's driver's hardship with race starts.
"No, but I hear reports that Ocon will be serving any penalties received by the lemans [Le Mans] teams," stated a fan, reminding Famin about Ocon's grid penalties.
"No doubt a time penalty for Ocon is coming," wrote yet another fan
"24-hour penalty for Ocon," a fan suggested.

Bruno Famin, the Vice President of Alpine, recently revealed that he would like to have their F1 team's current driver line-up to drive for them in 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon are a part of this year's line-up, but next year things are bound to change. Ocon is all set to leave the Enstone-based team at the end of 2024.

Speaking about this, Famin said, “Pierre and Esteban are interested. One day we may see them [at Le Mans], hopefully in an Alpine.”
