Christian Horner recently opened up about Daniel Ricciardo's future at the Red Bull fraternity. Paddock chatters within the sport suggested that the Australian driver was driving the final race of his career, but Horner's latest admission said otherwise.

Horner appeared in a post-race interview with F1TV, where he touched upon the immediate future of Ricciardo. The Honey Badger is currently driving under a full-time capacity at Visa Cash App RB alongside Yuki Tsunoda, and as per Horner, the top brass at Red Bull are going to look at his situation in the coming month.

"I mean we're looking at a natural break now, almost a month between the races," Horner said. "Of course, [we're going to] evaluate all scenarios. So, Daniel, we know his capabilities, what he's done, he's showed again with that final lap."
"That [the fastest lap] he did there which obviously was valuable to us because it takes one point off Lando, but let's see over this period and next month and we'll reflect on things and decide how we proceed," Horner added.

Daniel Ricciardo returned to Formula 1 after Red Bull decided to part ways with Nyck de Vries in mid-2023. However, he failed to live up to expectations and now finds himself in a situation where he could lose his seat to Liam Lawson, Red Bull's academy driver.

Daniel Ricciardo's Singapore Grand Prix outing could cause controversy, where the Australian driver snatched the fastest lap from Lando Norris in the very last lap.

The Honey Badger pitted for the third time in the penultimate lap, took soft compound tires, and went for the fastest lap. As a result, he denied Norris one point with six races and three Sprints to go.

Red Bull using their second team against McLaren to help Max Verstappen in his title fight against Norris could have big implications going forward.

Currently, Max Verstappen has 331 points after 18 races, compared to Lando Norris' 279 points.
