Former world champion Nico Rosberg's father Keke Rosberg claimed that Michael Schumacher's antics at the 2006 Monaco GP were the "cheapest, dirtiest" thing he's ever seen in F1. The then-Ferrari driver was embroiled in a mighty tussle with then-Renault driver and reigning champion Fernando Alonso for the title.

Heading into the Monaco GP, the German driver knew that he had to get one up over the young Spaniard in qualifying. This was because the latter had taken pole position in the previous two races and was aware of the significance of starting at the front in the Principality.

He was successful in his pursuit of his goal as he took the P1 from his rival but how he achieved it did not sit well with many in the sport.

Michael Schumacher had "parked" his Ferrari at the La Rascasse corner after locking up and failing to rotate the car. The stoppage hindered Fernando Alonso's fast lap in the dying moments of the season.

After the session, the 1982 world champion Keke Rosberg made his feelings clear regarding the incident:

"Cheapest, dirtiest thing I've seen in F1. He should leave Formula 1 and go home." (0:51)

He continued:

"There was absolutely no way it could be an error. He parked the car in the middle of the road tried to stop Alonso complete his fast lap." (4:55)

For his antics, Michael Schumacher was disqualified by the race stewards his antics in the qualifying session but managed to finish P5 at the end of the race on Sunday.

When Nico Rosberg called Michael Schumacher a "psychological warrior"

Former world champion Nico Rosberg termed his former Mercedes teammate Michael Schumacher a "psychological warrior" as he made no extra effort to get an advantage over his rival mentally.

As per F1.com, the 2016 champion said on the F1 Unscripted show in 2020:

“I was all excited, I would be leading this Mercedes team and the name Schumacher wasn’t even on the horizon, nobody was even talking about that. And then suddenly Ross calls me and he says, ‘Oh, by the way, your teammate is not going to be Jenson Button or Nick Heidfeld – it’s going to be Michael Schumacher.’”
“Michael is a psychological warrior. It was incredible learning for me over those three years. And he doesn’t even have to make an effort – it comes naturally to him, to try and psychologically get into the head of his competition. And it would be from the morning to the evening.”

Nico Rosberg and the seven-time world champion were teammates for three years from 2010 to 2012. However, the F1 legend failed to rediscover his form from his heyday and was unsuccessful in beating his fellow countryman in the same car in their time together.
