Mercedes on Saturday released a special dictionary by George Russell. In the dictionary, the Silver Arrows compiled numerous hilarious soundbites from the #63 driver, who is known for his British accent and use of terms. These were the words that he has used on the radio during Grand Prix weekends since joining the sport in 2019.

Calling the collection "Russel-isms," Mercedes included eyebrow-raising words such as Bloody Nora, Crikey, Fiddy Fingers, and many more. Interestingly, it also put a crisp meaning of the word alongside.

The Brackley-based team released the unique " phrase-book" from its official X account.

"Blimey! We bet you've never seen a phrase book like this one before. Presenting Russellisms: The dictionary according to @GeorgeRussell63."

The post received huge interactions from fans as they shared hilarious reactions after reading Russell's words and their meanings. Below are some meanings of a few words:

Bloody Nora: George Russell used this word during the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix. It was used by the driver to express frustration or light anger.

Crikey: The Briton used this word during the 2022 Singapore Grand Prix. It is the expression of shock or polite surprise, particularly used in the British language.

Fiddly Fingers: Russell used this first during the 2022 Belgian Grand Prix weekend. This was used to describe precision that requires the utmost skills, such as watchmaking.

Besides these words, George Russell also used words such as Absolutely Buzzing, Blimey, Holy Moly, If and Buts, Carrots and Nuts, Absolutely Gutted, Erratic Manners, It's the Way Cookie Crumbles Sometimes, and Oh Bugger among others.

The dictionary also contains Oh My Word, Tootling and Pootling, Snug as a Bug in a Rug, That is How We Roll, and Yabba Dabba Doo. While the words and terms might look funny and quirky to us, to Russell, they looked very normal and habitual.

George Russell has named the man he thinks is responsible for this season's upturn. Naming James Allison, the Silver Arrows driver, revealed that it was his involvement with the core team that significantly increased its performance.

Here is what the British driver told Motorsport Week:

“I think James Allison’s re-involvement with the project has been an immense benefit for us. We’ve always had this talent within the squad, but just having that clear leadership and clear direction to maximise the talent of the designers and the aerodynamicists has been vital. The experience he’s got is huge as well, so I think that has been a big factor."

In 2021, Mercedes moved James Vowles to the Chief Technical Officer role. In place of him, the team promoted Mike Elliott to take up the Technical Director duty. However, Elliott's involvement with the team in 2022 and 2023 fell flat as the Brackley-based team just won one race in 44 outings.

In the end, the German team reinstated Allison to the Technical Director role at the Mercedes AMG F1 Team, and this year, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have claimed three victories, two pole positions, and seven podiums in 18 races.
