"At least four centimeters of ankle": Watch the hilarious Lewis Hamilton-George Russell segment shared by Mercedes on its social media

Mercedes recently shared a hilarious clip of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell choosing a set of apparel for each other. The German team did a small promotional video with their fashion sponsor, Tommy Hilfiger, where both drivers picked an outfit for one another and also posed for a picture.

This clip, recorded ahead of the 2024 F1 Singapore GP, showed Hamilton and George Russell picking out outfits for each other. The seven-time world champion opted for a casual t-shirt, a bright orange sleeveless jacket, and blue pants for his teammate. While George Russell selected a formal shirt, cream-colored trousers, and black shoes for Hamilton.

Both Mercedes drivers talked to each other about their outfits, with Hamilton pointing out that his ankles were not covered because he wore formal shoes without socks. Russell made sure that Hamilton's ankles were visible in the final outfit display.

"Make sure ankle is on show. At least four centimeters of ankle," Russell said.

After Lewis Hamilton changed and showcased the entire outfit with George Russell, he hilariously mentioned how he felt the air around his ankles and claimed now he knows why Russell never sweats.

"My ankles have never felt so fresh. I get the breeze through. No wonder you are not sweating!" Hamilton joked.

Showcasing his love for fashion, Hamilton has often worn extravagant and unique outfits whenever he enters the paddock from his hotel.

After their collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, where Lewis Hamilton and George Russell picked outfits for each other, the two drivers shared pictures of themselves on their official Instagram stories. In the picture, they both put on serious faces whilst donning the attire they'd picked out for each other.

Hamilton was first to share the picture where he labeled Russell as a 'big stylist'. Later on, Russell reposted the story and humorously wrote how he was an F1 driver by day, but a fashion stylist by night.

On the racing front, both Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are currently building their way back to the top of the drivers' championship table, especially after mid-season. Hamilton has won races in the UK and Belgium and stands in sixth place with 166 points, while Russell has won one in Austria and stands in seventh with 143 points.

Mercedes are now trying to chase top teams like McLaren, Red Bull, and Ferrari and secure the highest place possible in both drivers' and constructors' tables.
