ESL Pro Tour 2025 features

The ESL Pro Tour is bringing a few changes to the tournament formats in 2025, the most notable of which is that all finals will be Bo5 and there will be no more Bo1 opening matches.

Frankly speaking, the removal of the Bo1 openers is huge. Teams often do not get to showcase their full potential in a single map, therefore the change over to Bo3 matches is justified.

Moreover, all the Grand Final matches will now be Bo5s. This will make the games much more competitive and entertaining. Teams will now have to show their versatility and prepare for all the active duty maps in order to win events.

Additionally, ESL has also announced the amount of financial support that they would be providing for the years 2025 and 2026. They have promised a total of US$ 11M+ for each of the years making it a total of US$ 22M+ in two years.

This will be a huge contribution towards making their events a success. The breakdown of their contribution per event will be revealed closer to the event.
