Siechem Madurai Panthers faced Dindigul Dragons in the 24th match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024 on Friday, July 26, at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul. The Madurai Panthers won the toss and elected to bowl.
Shivam Singh scored his maiden century and remained unbeaten on 106 runs off 57 deliveries. His innings helped the Dragons post a total of 201 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Karthick Manikandan was the pick of the bowlers for the Madurai Panthers with figures of 2/42.
In response, Suresh Lokeshwar played a decent knock of 55 runs off 37 deliveries for the Madurai Panthers. The team struggled after his dismissal as no other batter managed to cross the 30-run mark. The Madurai Panthers finished with 171 runs for the loss of eight wickets and lost the match by 30 runs. Sandeep Warrier and Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets each for the Dragons.
