TNPL 2024: How did the IPL players fare in Dindigul Dragons vs Siechem Madurai Panthers, Match 24? ft. Ravichandran Ashwin & Varun Chakravarthy

Siechem Madurai Panthers faced Dindigul Dragons in the 24th match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024 on Friday, July 26, at the NPR College Ground in Dindigul. The Madurai Panthers won the toss and elected to bowl.

Shivam Singh scored his maiden century and remained unbeaten on 106 runs off 57 deliveries. His innings helped the Dragons post a total of 201 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Karthick Manikandan was the pick of the bowlers for the Madurai Panthers with figures of 2/42.

In response, Suresh Lokeshwar played a decent knock of 55 runs off 37 deliveries for the Madurai Panthers. The team struggled after his dismissal as no other batter managed to cross the 30-run mark. The Madurai Panthers finished with 171 runs for the loss of eight wickets and lost the match by 30 runs. Sandeep Warrier and Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets each for the Dragons. Shivam won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance.

Ravichandran Ashwin (Dindigul Dragons)

Ashwin didn’t do much with the bat as he was dismissed for three runs. With the ball, he took two wickets for 35 runs in four overs in his spell of four overs. He took the important wicket of Suresh Lokeshwar, who made a half-century for the Madurai Panthers.


Varun Chakravarthy (Dindigul Dragons)

In his spell of four overs, Varun Chakravarthy took one wicket and gave away 29 runs in four overs. He picked the wicket of NS Chaturvedi, who was striking at a strike rate of 150.


Sandeep Warrier (Dindigul Dragons)

Warrier opened the bowling for the Dragons and finished with two wickets for 30 runs in four overs. He bowled a maiden over as well.


Hari Nishanth (Siechem Madurai Panthers)

The skipper of the Madurai Panthers, Hari Nishanth opened the innings for the team. He was the first to depart after getting run out for 10 runs off eight deliveries.


Murugan Ashwin (Siechem Madurai Panthers)

Murugan Ashwin bowled four overs and picked one wicket while giving away 45 runs in four overs.
