TNPL 2024: How did the IPL players fare in Dindigul Dragons vs Salem Spartans, Match 6? ft. Varun Chakravarthy & Baba Indrajith

On Monday, July 8, 2024, Dindigul Dragons and Salem Spartans locked horns in the sixth Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2024 match.

Dindigul Dragons opted to bat first and lost their openers in the powerplay. Vimal Khumar (47) and Baba Indrajith (51) then stabilized their innings with a crucial 64-run partnership, guiding them to 149/9.

Salem Spartans strongly responded with S Abishiek (28) and R Kavin building a solid partnership of 59 runs for the first wicket. Kavin's 46 and Rajendran Vivek's unbeaten 51 off 28 balls steered the Spartans to victory with 1.5 overs remaining. Sunny Sandhu and Harish Kumar impressed with two wickets each for the Dragons, securing a convincing win.

Ravichandran Ashwin (Dindigul Dragons)

Ravichandran Ashwin of Dindigul Dragons opened for his side. However, he failed to score more than six runs with the bat. He bowled an economical spell, conceding 24 runs in four overs but couldn't take a wicket.


Shivam Singh (Dindigul Dragons)

Shivam Singh was bought by Punjab Kings in IPL 2024 auction for INR 20 lakhs. He had a fine start to his TNPL campaign with a 78-run knock in the opening game. However, he underperformed in the previous game, scoring just two runs off 12 balls.


Baba Indrajith (Dindigul Dragons)

Baba Indrajith, who has played for Kolkata Knight Riders, smashed an excellent 51-run knock in the previous game. His knock featured four fours and two sixes.


Varun Chakravarthy (Dindigul Dragons)

Varun Chakravarthy, another KKR star, bowled effectively for Dindigul Dragons in the last game. He picked up a wicket in four overs while conceding 27 runs.


Sandeep Warrior (Dindigul Dragons)

Sandeep Warrior played for Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2024. He represents Dindigul Dragons in the TNPL 2024. The 33-year-old medium pacer bowled at an economy of 7.15 and also picked up a wicket for his side.
