Pallekele International Cricket Stadium last ODI

The last time ODI cricket was played at this venue was also during a three-match series. It was in February this year, with Afghanistan getting decimated by the hosts, Sri Lanka.

In the third and last ODI, Afghanistan made 266, courtesy of Rahmat Shah's 65. Azmatullah Omarzai also clubbed a fifty later in the innings. Pacer Pramod Madushan claimed a three-wicket haul.

In the run-chase, Pathum Nissanka continued his red-hot form as he smashed another century, making a 101-ball 118. Avishka Fernando also decimated the Afghani bowling attack with 91 runs at a strike rate of 137.8.
