The University of Texas at Dallas has officially partnered with the National Cricket League USA (NCL USA) to host the inaugural Sixty Strikes Tournament from October 4 to 14.
This premier event will feature six teams representing elite cricket talent worldwide, including distinguished players such as Mohammad Kaif, Sunil Narine, Dwayne Bravo, and Shakib Al Hasan. Mentorship will be provided by cricket legends like Dilip Vengsarkar and Zaheer Abbas, with coaching roles filled by renowned figures including Vivian Richards and Sanath Jayasuriya.
The NCL USA is introducing a groundbreaking 60-ball format, designed to emphasize power-hitting and high-scoring matches. This fast-paced structure allows for action-packed games that typically last around 90 minutes, encouraging players to adopt an aggressive style while showcasing their skills.
Additionally, the tournament will incorporate entertainment from Bollywood and Hollywood, aiming to attract a diverse audience and create a vibrant atmosphere.
