Sanju Samson Family

Sanju Samson was born in a Christian family on November 11, 1994, in Vizhinjam, in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala. The wicket-keeper-batter features for Team India at the international level, Kerala at the domestic level, and Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

Sanju got his maiden India call-up against England in 2014, but couldn't make it to the final 11. In July 2015, he made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe. But he couldn't capitalize on his chances and got dropped from the side.

After four years, he made his comeback to the Indian side against Bangladesh in 2019, but couldn't get a chance in the first 11. From there, he tried hard and made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka, in July 2021.

In addition, Sanju was selected as the captain of the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2021 IPL. Under his leadership, Rajasthan went into the finals of the 2022 IPL but couldn't cross the final hurdle. Even in the 2024 IPL, he is the captain of the Rajasthan Royals.

Recently, in December 2023, he scored a century against South Africa and was selected as the man of the match for his blistering innings of 108 runs.
