The Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy 2024 is the domestic women’s List A tournament organized by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The tournament got underway on Saturday, April 20. This will be the fifth edition of the tournament.
Eight teams are participating in this competition. Each team will face the other seven teams once in the group stage. The top four teams will qualify for the semi-finals, while the winners will face off in the final, which will be played on Saturday, September 21, at Grace Road in Leicester.
The eight teams participating in this competition are Central Sparks, Northern Diamonds, Western Storm, Sunrisers, Thunder, South East Stars, Southern Vipers, and The Blaze.
A total of 59 matches will take place in the tournament and 30 venues have been selected to host these matches.
The first-ever Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy took place in 2020. Southern Vipers have won three out of the first four seasons and are the defending champions. They defeated The Blaze in the final last season by five wickets after chasing down the target of 201 runs in 40.2 overs. Linsey Smith took three wickets for 30 runs for the Southern Vipers and won the Player of the Match award.
