The President’s Cup, a prestigious annual event, hosted by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) promises to showcase the finest talent from Pakistan's domestic cricket with some international players on the board.
The tournament features nine prominent departmental teams and kicked off from October 3. This league offers a significant prize pot of PKR 7.75 million, with the winners set to receive PKR 5 million, while the runners-up will be awarded PKR 2.5 million.
The competition is structured into two groups. Group A consists of four teams:- Higher Education Commission, State Bank of Pakistan, Khan Research Laboratories, and Water and Power Development Authority. Group B has five teams: Eshaala Associates, Ghani Glass, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, Pakistan TV, and Oil & Gas Development Company Limited.
Group A matches will be staged across Abbottabad, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi, while Group B matches are scheduled to take place in Faisalabad and Lahore. The tournament's grand final is set to take place on October 16, where the two best teams will compete for the coveted title.
The President’s Cup 2024 will feature several capped international players, adding star power and experience to the competition.
