New Zealand will take on Uganda in match number 32 of the ICC Men's 2024 T20 World Cup at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad on Saturday, June 15. The Group C match will begin at 6:00 AM IST [8:30 PM local time - June 14].

The match will have no bearing on the Super 8 qualification as both the Kiwis and Uganda are out of the race. New Zealand have had an extremely disappointing 2024 T20 World Cup campaign. They went down to Afghanistan by 84 runs following a rusty performance in Guyana. West Indies then thumped them by 13 runs in Trinidad.

Uganda began their campaign with a 125-run loss to Afghanistan in Guyana. However, they registered a historic win at the same venue against Papua New Guinea. In a low-scoring contest, Uganda registered a thrilling three-wicket win. They were, however, bundled out for 39 by West Indies in their previous match.

How lackalasdical New Zealand were knocked out of the 2024 T20 World Cup Super 8 race

The Kiwis possess an impressive record in ICC events and have made it a habit of reaching the knockouts. In the ongoing edition, though, they have been extremely poor to say the least.

In their opening match against Afghanistan, New Zealand were bundled out for a paltry 75 in 15.2 overs in a chase of 160. Not a single batter reached 20, with Glenn Phillips' 18 being the highest individual score in the chase.

The Kiwis faltered in another chase against West Indies. Needing to score 150, they only managed 136-9 as their top and middle-order crumbled. Phillips again top-scored with 40 off 33 balls.
