Kieron Pollard wrote a heartfelt tribute to his teammate Dwayne Bravo, who announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Thursday, September 26. DJ Bravo, a member of the Trinbago Knight Riders in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League 2024, had previously stated that this season would be his last.

However, he opted to step away from the game mid-season after a groin injury sustained against the Saint Lucia Kings on September 23 ended his campaign early. Knight Riders captain and Bravo's former West Indies teammate, Kieron Pollard, took to Instagram to share a message, writing:

"You did it your way most important. Kudos to a wonderful career. Your thoughtfulness for others mentorship, big brother attributes, your genuine nature to see others succeed is one put amongst one on the best to have ever played this game."
"Persons might want to judge by career numbers but your presence was more valuable than the numbers. As you wish the sport that have given you everything goodbye from a playing perspective. We are positively sure on the other side success will also follow," he added.

Bravo retired as the leading wicket-taker in T20 cricket, with 631 dismissals in 582 matches.
