India defeated West Indies in the sixth match of the World Championship of Legends 2024 by 27 runs by the DLS method. India had posted a total of 229 runs for the loss of five wickets after losing the toss. Gurkeerat Singh Maan scored an unbeaten 86 runs off just 42 deliveries and won the 'Player of the Match' award.

India have won both their matches and have jumped to first place from fourth. They have a Net Run Rate of +1.457. Pakistan have moved to second place from first and have a Net Run Rate of +0.856. They have also won both their matches.

Australia have slipped to third place from second and have won one out of two matches. They have a Net Run Rate of +2.483. England have moved to fourth position from third and have a Net Run Rate of +2.005. They have won and lost one match each.

West Indies and South Africa are still in the last two places in the points tally. They are yet to record their first win of the season and have a Net Run Rate of -1.45 and -5.296, respectively.


India triumph over West Indies in rain-interrupted match

The West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl. India lost their first wicket for just one run. Robin Uthappa and Suresh Raina added 62 runs for the second wicket. India lost the third wicket on 65.

Yuvraj Singh and Gurkeerat Singh Maan added 121 runs for the fourth wicket. Gurkeerat remained unbeaten on 86 runs off 42 deliveries. India finished with 229 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Tino Best was the pick of the bowlers as he took two wickets for 41 runs in four overs.

The West Indies lost their first wicket for 30 runs in the fifth over. They scored 31 runs for the loss of one wicket in 5.3 overs before rain interrupted the match. India won the match by 27 runs by the DLS method.
