Women's T20 World Cup 2024 Most Wickets updated after New Zealand vs Pakistan

New Zealand locked horns with Pakistan in the 19th match of the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Monday, October 14. The Kiwis won the toss and opted to bat first.

Suzie Bates (28) and Georgia Plimmer (17) stitched together a 41-run opening partnership. Later, skipper Sophie Devine (19) and Brooke Halliday (22) added some important runs in the middle to take their team’s total to 110/6.

Nashra Sandhu secured a three-wicket haul for Pakistan while Sadia Iqbal, Nida Dar, and Omaima Sohail took one wicket each.

In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for 56 runs in 11.4 overs. Skipper Fatima Sana top-scored with 21 off 23, followed by Muneeba Ali (15) while the rest were dismissed in single digits. Amelia Kerr was the wrecker in chief with three wickets while Eden Carson took two and the rest of the attack picked up one each.

Amelia Kerr secured a three-wicket haul and rose to the top of the most wickets leaderboard with 10 wickets. Meanwhile, Nonkululeko Mlaba slipped to second position with nine wickets.

Megan Schutt (8) slipped to third position while Annabel Sutherland retained her fourth spot with seven wickets. Rosemary Mair moved from eighth to fifth, Sophie Molineux, Arundhati Reddy, and Renuka Singh dropped to the next three spots, respectively, with seven wickets each.

Sadia Iqbal climbed up to ninth position while Ashleigh Gardner completed the top 10 leaderboard with six wickets each.
