Women's T20 World Cup 2024 Most Wickets List updated after India vs Sri Lanka

India Women and Sri Lanka Women met in the 12th Women's T20 World Cup 2024 match at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, on Wednesday, October 9.

India won the toss and opted to bat first. Shafali Verma and Smrit Mandana gave their side a perfect start, stitching a 98-run partnership for the first wicket. Shafali scored 43 off 40 while Smriti smashed a 38-ball fifty. Later, Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur struck an unbeaten 27-ball half-century with nine boundaries to set a 173-run target for the Lankans.

Ama Kanchana and Chamari Athapaththu picked up a wicket each for Sri Lanka.

In response, Sri Lanka lost three wickets within the first three overs. Though Kavisha Dilhari (21), Anushka Sanjeewani (20), and Ama Kanchana (19) showed some promise, they couldn't carry it through to the finish.

The Indian bowlers maintained control over the Sri Lankan batting, dismissing them for 90 runs in 19.5 overs. Arundhati Reddy and Asha Sobhana contributed by taking three wickets each.

Laura Wolvaardt (141) and Tanzim Brits (113) are still in the top two positions while Harmanpreet Kaur (96) jumped to third position after scoring a 52-run unbeaten knock in the previous game.

Dani Wyatt (84), Beth Mooney (83), and Sobhana Mostary (80) dropped to the following three positions, respectively. Shafali Verma moved to seventh with 77 runs, Marizanne Kapp (69) dropped to eighth, and Smriti Mandhana grabbed the ninth positon with 69 runs.

Sophie Devine (64) completes the top 10 list, averaging 64.

Nonkululeko Mlaba is still dominating at the pole position with eight wickets. A Reddy jumped from 10th position to second with seven wickets. Megan Schutt (6), Rosemary Mair (6), and Amelia Kerr (5) settled in the next three positions each. Renuka Singh (5) and Asha Sobhana (5) secured three wickets each and jumped to sixth and seventh spots, respectively.

Meanwhile, Fatima Sana (4), Sophie Molineux (4), and Ritu Moni (4) moved to the eighth to tenth spots, respectively
