England took on West Indies in the 20th match of the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Tuesday, October 15.
England were put to bat first. Maia Boucher (14) and Danni Wyatt (16) added 29 runs for the first wicket. Nat Sciver-Brunt then scored an unbeaten 57-run knock. Backed by skipper Heather Knight’s quick-fire knock of 21 runs, they set a modest target of 141 runs.
Afy Fletcher picked up three wickets for West Indies while Hayley Matthews took two and Deandra Dotting claimed one. In reply, West Indies comfortably chased the target in 18 overs. It came thanks to outstanding half-centuries from Matthews (50) and Qiana Joseph (52) and Deandra Dottin’s 19-ball 27-run knock. Nat, Sophie Ecclestone, and Sarah Glenn secured a wicket each for England.

Meanwhile, Australia’s Megan Schutt retained her third position. Afy Fletcher of Windies Women took a three-wicket haul on Tuesday to climb up to the fourth spot with eight wickets.
Annabel Sutherland, Rosemary Mair, Sophie Molineux, Arundhati Reddy, and Renuka Singh descended to the next five spots, respectively, with seven wickets each. Sadia Iqbal is ranked 10th in the chart with six wickets.
