India cricketer Amit Mishra has made some startling claims during his appearance on a recent podcast. Speaking on YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra's show 'Unplugged', he claimed that while Virat Kohli has changed with fame and power, Rohit Sharma remains the same even after all these years of stardom.

Mishra also shared his thoughts on the KL Rahul-Sanjiv Goenka incident during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 and suggested that the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) franchise would look for a better captain. The cricketer also opened up on his stop-start international career and said that being liked matters a lot in team selection and that it's just not about playing good cricket.

The explosive claims from Mishra (41) are interesting since he is yet to announce his retirement from international cricket, although his chances of making a comeback are as good as over. A veteran leg-spinner, Mishra made his debut for India in an ODI against South Africa in Dhaka in April 2003.

He has featured in 22 Tests, 36 ODIs and 10 T20Is. Mishra has 76 wickets in Test matches at an average of 35.72. In one-dayers, he has picked up 64 scalps at an impressive average of 23.60, with two five-fers and two four-fers. The leggie has also played 10 T20Is in which he has claimed 16 wickets at an average of 15 and a strike rate of 14.2.

Mishra has represented multiple franchises in the IPL. He was earlier part of Delhi Capitals, Deccan Chargers and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Since 2022, the leggie has been with the Lucknow Super Giants franchise. He has featured in 162 IPL matches and has claimed 174 wickets at an average of 23.84 and a strike rate of 19.37, with one five-fer and four four-fers.

In 2015, the Indian cricketer was arrested after being accused of assault by a woman, but was later granted bail.
