When is Team India's next match? Date, Time, & Opposition

Team India went down to Sri Lanka by 110 runs in the third and final ODI at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Wednesday, August 7. The loss meant that the Men in Blue suffered their first bilateral ODI series defeat against Sri Lanka in 27 years. While the first game was tied, Sri Lanka won the second match by 32 runs.

Batting first after winning the toss, Sri Lanka posted 248-7 on the board in their 50 overs. Opener Avishka Fernando top-scored with 96 off 102 balls, while Kusal Mendis contributed 59 off 82 deliveries and Pathum Nissanka 45 off 65. For India, debutant Riyan Parag shone with 3-54 from nine overs.

Chasing a challenging target of 249, India were bundled out for 138 in 26.1 overs. Dunith Wellalage was the star performer with 5-27, while Maheesh Theekshana and Maheesh Theekshana chipped in with two each. Skipper Rohit Sharma top-scored for India with 35 off 20 balls.


Team India's next series will be against Bangladesh in September

Following the conclusion of the white-ball series in Sri Lanka, Team India will get a much-deserved break from international cricket. Their next series will be against Bangladesh at home. India will host Bangladesh for two Tests and three T20Is.

The first Test of the series will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 19 to September 23. The match will begin at 9:30 AM IST. It must be noted that Bangladesh is going through a political turmoil at present, with Sheikh Hasina resigning as Prime Minister and fleeing to India.

Coming back to Bangladesh's scheduled tour of India, the second Test will be played at Green Park in Kanpur from September 27 to October 1. The first T20I of the India vs Bangladesh series will be held at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on October 6.

The series will conclude with two more T20Is to be played on October 9 and October 12. The second match will be hosted at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi and the third at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. All the matches of the T20I series will start at 7:00 PM IST.
