Team India's Test and ODI captain Rohit Sharma has been known to enjoy his time even when away from his first love - cricket. He was recently spotted watching an NBA game in Abu Dhabi with his wife Ritika Sajdeh. Back in 2018-19, during India's tour of Australia, he attended an Australian Open match between Rafael Nadal and Matthew Ebden at the Rod Laver Arena.

Spanish tennis legend Nadal announced his retirement through an emotional video message on Thursday, October 10. The 22-time Grand Slam champion will make his final appearance at next month's Davis Cup Finals in Malaga.

Coming back to Rohit, he and his teammates Dinesh Karthik and Vijay Shankar attended the 2019 Australian Open match between Nadal and Ebden. The opening batter took to his official X handle to share a picture of him with Karthik and Shankar while watching proceedings at the Australian Open.

Some members of the Indian cricket team decided to take a day off after the Men in Blue's six-wicket triumph in Adelaide in the second ODI of the three-match series. Leading the side, Virat Kohli scored 104 off 112 balls. Rohit contributed 43 off 52 and Karthik 25* off 14 as the Men in Blue chased down 299 to level the three-match series 1-1.


How Rohit performed during the 2018-19 tour of Australia

India played three T20Is, four Test matches, and three ODIs during their 2018-19 tour of Australia. It was a memorable visit Down Under for India. The T20Is ended in a 1-1 draw, while the visitors created history by registering their first-ever Test series win in Australia by a 2-1 margin. The Men in Blue also emerged victorious by a 2-1 margin in the ODI series.

Speaking of Rohit's performance during the 2018-19 tour of Australia, the opening batter scored 30 runs in two T20Is, with a best of 23. In the Tests, he contributed 106 runs in four innings, averaging 35.33, with a best of 63*. Further, the Indian batter was the third-leading run-getter in the ODIs. In three innings, he notched up 185 runs at an average of 61.66 and a strike rate of 93.43, with a best of 133.
