When is the India vs Pakistan match in the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup?

The 2024 Women's T20 World Cup kicked off on Thursday, October 3, with a match between Bangladesh and Scotland at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Bangladesh beat Scotland by 16 runs to register their first win in the ICC event since 2014.

Meanwhile, India will begin their campaign in the Women's T20 World Cup with a clash against New Zealand at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday, October 4. India are placed in Group A with defending champions Australia, arch-rivals Pakistan, and Asia Cup champions Sri Lanka.

The marquee India vs Pakistan clash in the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup will be held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, October 6. The much-awaited contest will begin at 3:30 PM IST (2:00 PM local time). Following the match against Pakistan, India will take on Sri Lanka in Dubai on October 9 and Australia in Sharjah on October 13.


India vs Pakistan record in the Women's T20 World Cup

India and Pakistan have clashed seven times in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, with the Women in Blue winning five matches and Pakistan two. The arch-rivals first clashed in the tournament in 2009 in Taunton, with India registering a five-wicket victory with 14 balls in hand.

The Women in Blue made it two in two when they hammered their Asian rivals by nine wickets in the 2010 edition in a match played in Basseterre. Pakistan's first win over India in the Women's T20 World Cup was registered in Galle during the 2012 edition. Nida Dar starred with 3-12 as Pakistan beat India by one run.

India were back to winning ways when the two sides clashed in Sylhet in 2014. Soniya Dabir picked up 3-14 as the Women in Blue got the better of Pakistan by six runs. Pakistan's second victory over India in the Women's T20 World Cup came in Delhi in 2016. They won a shortened contest by two runs (DLS method).

Team India have registered wins in the last two T20 World Cup matches against Pakistan. They hammered their rivals by seven wickets in Providence in 2018 as Mithali Raj (56 off 47) anchored a chase of 134. When the two sides met last year, India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in Cape Town as Jemimah Rodrigues scored 53* off 38.
