Team India wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel mentioned Virat Kohli's aura when being around him as the most inspiring aspect of the champion cricketer. Jurel, who will be in action in the upcoming UP T20 League from August 25, debuted for India in the England Test series at home earlier this year.

The 23-year-old immediately made an impact, scoring 190 runs at an average of 63.33 in three Tests.

Meanwhile, Kohli is among the most accomplished batters in cricket history, with almost 27,000 runs and an incredible 80 centuries in 533 outings across formats.

In a conversation with Sportstak, Jurel said about Kohli:

I always try to learn because he is a legend of cricket. So I think how he was made, what he did in the background. Always curious to learn new things. So whenever I talked to him, I only talked about cricket and when you are around him, you feel that aura that Virat Kohli is there."
"So that is a good thing that we feel that we have to do something that we also feel that people have come to ask, that there is aura. Because he has played for like 15 years for India and he has always dominated. So that thing is very inspiring. So I will try to bring that thing in," he added.

Jurel also made his T20I debut for India in the recent Zimbabwe tour but scored only six runs in his lone innings in two games.

Dhruv Jurel praised Indian skipper Rohit Sharma as a relaxed character with no seniority complexes. The youngster played his first game for India in the England Test series under Rohit.

The 37-year-old recently led India to their second T20 World Cup title in the West Indies and the USA.

"To be honest he (Rohit) is very chill. He will talk to you. He is not like you are a senior or junior. He always talks very casually. If you need any help just come over. I don't have any problem. He is normal. He makes you feel comfortable," Jurel said in the same conversation.

Rohit has captained India in 126 games across formats with an extraordinary 93 wins and only 28 defeats.

Apart from the 2024 T20 World Cup title, he also led India to the 2023 World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup final.
