Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal took to his X account on Tuesday, August 20, to share a video of his experience at Old Trafford Stadium during a Premier League match. Chahal, along with his Northamptonshire teammate Prithvi Shaw, attended Manchester United's opening Premier League fixture on Friday, August 16.

The Premier League giants began their season on a high note, securing a 1-0 victory over Fulham at home. United debutant Joshua Zirkzee scored the decisive goal in the 87th minute after coming off the bench, leading Erik ten Hag's team to their first win of the season. This victory followed their penalty shootout loss to Manchester City in the Community Shield final on August 10.

Chahal shared a video on X featuring several moments from the game. The duo was seated in the front row and was seen enjoying their time during the match. He captioned the post:

"Perfect kickoff. Let's go @manchesterunited."

The Indian cricketer will next take the field for Northamptonshire in their County Championship match against Middlesex, starting August 22, at Northwood.

Yuzvendra Chahal shines on debut in the Royal London One-Day Cup

While Yuzvendra Chahal has remained absent from the Indian team, he has showcased his skills in English domestic cricket. He was part of the 2024 T20 World Cup-winning squad but didn’t get any game time. However, he was not selected for the series against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.

The Rajasthan Royals cricketer made a stellar debut in the Royal London One-Day Cup for Northamptonshire against Kent on Wednesday, August 14.

The Indian leg-spinner bowled a remarkable spell of 10 overs, claiming five wickets while conceding only 14 runs and delivering five maiden overs. Consequently, Kent were dismissed for just 82 runs in 35.1 overs.

In response, Northamptonshire’s James Sales (33) and George Bartlett (31) remained unbeaten as their team secured a convincing victory by nine wickets with 36 overs to spare.
