Batter Ahmed Shehzad took yet another brutal dig at the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) while reacting to Ravichandran Ashwin's recent comments on the Pakistan cricket team. Speaking in a sarcastic tone in a video on his YouTube channel, he wondered why Ashwin was surprised at the state of Pakistan cricket and cheekily added that everything is fine with regard to the national team.

Pakistan recently went down to Bangladesh 2-0 in a two-match Test series at home. Since the embarrassing loss, many current and former cricketers, including Indian off-spinner Ashwin, have expressed shock and surprise at the downfall of Pakistan cricket.

On his YouTube channel. Shehzad reacted to Ashwin's comments as he took some swipes at Pakistan cricket. Speaking in a rather obvious sarcastic tone, he said:

"Why are you surprised Ashwin? Don't worry, everything is fine here. Can't you see that stadiums are being built over here? Continuous digging is being done. Don't be surprised at all.
"Are you not seeing that Pakistan is organizing a cup? (Champions One-Day Cup). Just wait and watch the number of players who come out of this tournament. How we get a battery of fast bowlers and produce players. Are you not seeing this? Why are you surprised, Ravi?," Shehzad continued.

He concluded:

"So what if we couldn't qualify for the Super 8 round of the 2024 T20 World Cup? So what if there is groupism in our team? So what if the current players in the team are not performing?
"It's not a big issue Ravi, so please don't worry," the 32-year-old added in a mocking tone.

Shahzad had earlier refused to participate in the Champions Cup over PCB's 'favoritism', 'false promises' and 'injustice against domestic cricketers'.

What Ravichandran Ashwin had said about Pakistan cricket after series loss to Bangladesh

In a video on his YouTube channel following Pakistan's loss to Bangladesh in the Test series, Ashwin traced the rich history of Pakistan cricket and wondered how they have fallen into such a rut. Sharing his thoughts on their struggles, the 37-year-old said:

"Keeping all this aside, Pakistan cricket, to see where it is right now, it wasn't possible 10 years ago with Misbah, Younis Khan, even when they used to play in UAE.
"Back then, it was very tough to beat Pakistan, right? You had the likes of Yasir Shah, you had the likes of a couple of left-arm spinners coming in. All these guys, to where they are right now, I cannot believe it."

Led by Shan Masood, Pakistan lost the first Test to Bangladesh in Rawalpindi by 10 wickets and the second at the same venue by six wickets.
