Indian batter Tilak Varma shares a tight bond with Rohit Sharma and his family. The youngster is also very close to the Sharma and Ritika Sajdeh's five-year-old daughter Samaira.

Taking to her Instagram handle on Sunday, September 29, Ritika shared a story in which Tilak can be seen taking a slide with Samaira at an indoor play area. Joking about Tilak being a bigger kid than Samaira, Ritika wrote:

"Who's a bigger kid."

Here's the video:

Rohit Sharma was first introduced to Ritika Sajdeh in 2008 by former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh. After dating for six years, the couple got married in 2015. They were blessed with a baby girl, Samaira, in December 2018.

Tilak Varma wasn't picked in India's T20I squad for the upcoming Bangladesh series

Tilak Varma was overlooked by the Indian selectors for the Men in Blue's upcoming three-match home T20I series against Bangladesh. India announced a 15-member squad for the rubber on Saturday, September 28.

Suryakumar Yadav will lead a second-string Indian team, with most of the senior players rested for the series. Tilak was among the notable absentees from the squad.

The southpaw made his T20I debut in August last year. He has scored 336 runs from 16 T20Is at an average of 33.60. Tilak remained out of action for a while following the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to injury.

Tilak Varma was part of the India A squad in the recently concluded Duldeep Trophy. He shone with the bat in the side's fixture against Team D, remaining unbeaten on 111 in the team's second innings.

The three-match T20I series between India and Bangladesh is set to kick off at New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior on October 6.
