Team India's spin-bowling all-rounder Washington Sundar was picked as the best fielder for the home side in the recently concluded T20 series against Bangladesh. India clean swept the three-match series.

Washington Sundar was a live wire in the middle throughout the series and was deservedly awarded the fielding medal after the culmination of the third T20I in Hyderabad. Fielding coach T Dilip first listed the fielding medal nominees with Hardik Pandya, Riyan Parag and Washington Sundar making the cut.

Dilip then asked Jitesh Sharma, the reserve wicketkeeper, to hand out the medal and announced Sundar as the winner. Here's a full video of the ceremony:

After comfortably winning the Test series against Bangladesh, Team India started off strongly in the shortest format of the game, winning the first game of the series in Gwalior by seven wickets. The hosts then secured the series, winning the second T20I in Delhi to take an unassailable lead of 2-0.

Team India had a record-break outing with the bat in the series' last game. Sanju Samson was the headline with a stellar ton along with Suryakumar Yadav's 35 ball 75. India scored 297/6 in 20 overs and registered the highest total for a Test side in T20I cricket.

The Indian bowlers made light work of the Bangladesh batting unit, restricting the visitors to 164/7 and helping the hosts win by 133 runs to complete a 3-0 series sweep. For his all-round efforts, Hardik Pandya was named the Player of the Series.
