[Watch] "Upar nahi chadho" - Irked Babar Azam reacts angrily after being mobbed by fans in Cardiff

Pakistan captain Babar Azam lost his cool at some fans after being mobbed for a selfie in Cardiff. In a video that has gone viral on social media, the seasoned batter is first seen requesting fans to have some patience, as he was busy. When he didn't see the situation improving much, he vented out his anger at them.

The Pakistan T20I team is in England for a four-match series, which is being played just ahead of the World Cup, set to be held in the United States and the West Indies from June 1-29.

The first match in Leeds was abandoned due to rain, while England won the second in Birmingham by 23 runs. Cardiff will host the third T20I on Tuesday, May 28.

Ahead of the third T20I, the video of Babar getting angry on some fans is doing the rounds on social media. In the viral clip, the Pakistan captain is seen having an interaction with someone.

On spotting fans gathering around him, he tells them:

"Do minute doge. Upar nahi chadho. (Will you give me two minutes? Don't rush)."

A few seconds later, he's seen instructing the fans to move away, visibly irked by their behavior. While walking away, he stops by some fans and is seen explaining something to them.


Babar Azam recently became the second-leading run-getter in T20Is, surpassing Rohit Sharma

During the second England vs Pakistan T20I in Birmingham on May 25, Babar became the second-leading run-getter in T20Is, going past Indian captain Rohit Sharma.

The Pakistan skipper scored 32 off 26, hitting four fours before he was trapped lbw by England off-spinner Moeen Ali.

With the knock, Babar took his T20I tally to 3,987 runs from 118 matches. He has an average of 41.1 and a strike rate of 129.91, with three hundreds. As for Rohit, he has 3,974 runs in 151 matches at an average of 31.79 and a strike rate of 139.97, with five hundreds.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl first in the second T20I against England. The hosts posted 183-7 as skipper Jos Buttler slammed 84 off 51. In their chase, Pakistan were held to 160 as Reece Topley claimed three scalps, while Moeen Ali and Jofra Archer picked up two each.
